Achieving the Triple Aim Using Big Data: The Boston Scientific Big Data Challenge


The Boston Scientific Connected Patient Challenge is well underway, and submissions are beginning to roll in. The focus of this year’s challenge is Big Data, and participants are encouraged to submit ideas on how to improve patient outcomes, increase efficiency in delivering care, and drive down the cost of care using data analytics. Teams have submitted ideas for their chance to pitch-off at Google’s Cambridge headquarter on March 9, and win up to $50,000 of in-kind prizes.

Eric Luellen of Team Rx&You is developing a platform to assess medication adherence risks. The smart-device patient-engagement and monitoring platform uses AI to monitor behavior in real time, remind patients of their regimen, check for drug-drug interactions and notify treatment teams when necessary.
